Job Title: Business Growth Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned commercial leader to spearhead our infrastructure projects, driving profitability, compliance, and strategic growth.

  • Develop and manage comprehensive commercial strategies for infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
  • Oversee cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure optimal financial performance.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, securing favorable terms and ensuring adherence to legal standards.
  • Administer major infrastructure contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, EPC) and effectively manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
  • Monitor project financial performance and provide regular commercial reports to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to optimize delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, including regulatory, environmental, and stakeholder-related risks.
  • Support bid preparation and tender submissions for public and private sector infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards in all commercial activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineer, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB, PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in commercial roles within infrastructure construction.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure contract frameworks and public procurement processes.
  • Experience managing large-scale civil engineering projects with complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
  • Advanced negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in commercial software (e.g., MS Excel, SAP, Oracle Primavera).
  • Leadership and team development abilities.
