This role is accountable for delivering consistent, high-quality updates to all internal and external stakeholders. Incident Response Coordinators advocate for customers with engineering and leadership teams, ensuring that escalations are addressed with the necessary urgency.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead critical customer escalations or significant outages to resolution.
- Engage on-call resources in support and engineering, organizing checkpoint calls and action items to ensure timely progress and status updates.
- Exhibit cross-functional leadership while establishing ownership of escalations and outages.
- Compile and provide frequent, high-quality communications to internal and external stakeholders, including executive teams. Candidates should be adept at crafting concise and effective messaging tailored to both technical and executive audiences with minimal assistance.
- Initiate and facilitate war rooms, creating temporary communication channels as necessary during outages.
- Manage multiple incidents and/or projects simultaneously.
- Identify opportunities for product and process enhancements from each incident and provide necessary feedback for improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in customer support, escalation management, and incident resolution is required.
- Thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity, accountability, attention to detail, and expertise in execution and planning.
- Possesses excellent contextual interpretation and writing skills, with the ability to summarize and communicate effectively to both technical and business audiences.
- Exhibits strong decision-making abilities from both business and technical perspectives.
- Must show resilience and maintain a constructive attitude during high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, applying engineering principles to resolve complex issues.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in designing, testing, or maintaining applications based on Python, Java, or Scala in typical project delivery and consulting environments.
- Hands-on experience in developing two or more of the following: Big Data, Hadoop, Spark, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Streaming, Kafka, Data Science, or ElasticSearch at a production scale.
- Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting Spark-based applications at a production scale.
- Proven experience in JVM and Memory Management techniques, including Garbage Collection and Heap/Thread Dump Analysis.
- Willingness to work holidays and weekends as part of an on-call rotation.
- Familiarity with Data Lakes and preferably experience with SCD types use cases at a production scale.
- Hands-on experience with SQL-based databases and Data Warehousing/ETL technologies such as Informatica, DataStage, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, and MySQL.
- Linux/Unix administration skills and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
