We are seeking an experienced ATC System Designer to join our team. As a leading player in the rail industry, we offer a broad portfolio of solutions for transport networks and digital mobility.

About the Role

This is a key position that will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of train movements by designing and optimizing our Automatic Train Control (ATC) systems. You will work closely with teams across the business, lead design reviews, investigate system performance issues, and more.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Designing ATC systems and producing related documentation;
  • Leading ATC design activities, including design reviews and ensuring alignment with established processes;
  • Ensuring hardware and/or software configurations are performed accurately and meet testing or customer requirements;
  • Investigating Verification and Validation (V&V) test failures and implementing corrective actions;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to balance technical risks and evaluate design trade-offs;
  • Defining and assessing system requirements and interfaces in alignment with the system roadmap;
About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. While a degree in engineering and proficiency in MS Office programs are essential, we're open to candidates who can demonstrate relevant skills and knowledge. Some of the required skills include:

  • Degree in electrical/electronics engineering or equivalent;
  • Technical courses in electrical/electronics or related areas (advantageous);
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) at an intermediate level;
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar tools at an intermediate level;
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical diagrams;
  • Skills in system specification and requirements development;
  • Basic software development skills;
  • 5+ years of experience in complex real-time systems (e.g., signaling, avionics, defense, or safety-related systems);
  • Advanced proficiency in English and intermediate proficiency in Spanish;
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes;
