Insurance Specialist Job Summary

This position provides revenue cycle management to dental practices across the country by handling claim submissions, follow-ups, payment postings, and benefit verifications with data entry.

Responsibilities As An Insurance Specialist
  • Complete dental services within multiple practice management software while maintaining PHI and HIPAA standards. This includes claim submission, claim follow up, payment posting, and benefit verification with data entry.
  • Manage daily client communication and ongoing relationships for satisfaction and retention. This involves optimizing practice operations and enhancing profitability.
  • Document work in various formats as outlined in our standards.
  • Obtain and record accurate information from insurance companies.
  • Provide a daily summary of tasks completed to dental office staff.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly return on investment statistics.
  • Maintain company policies and expectations regarding attendance.
  • Comply with federal, state, accreditation, and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Protect confidential information and maintain high standards of service with all individuals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a dental office setting.
  • Ability to work independently from home in a quiet space with high-speed internet access.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ability to fluidly use technology and the internet.
  • Capacity to multitask accurately in a fast-paced environment.
