About the Opportunity

Micromine is seeking a Product Specialist, Mining to join our Americas team in Brazil. Based in Belo Horizonte, you will play a key support role for customers of our intuitive open-pit mine planning solution, Micromine Alastri.

As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pre-sales and support activity, including technical product demonstrations, tenders, proof of concept model builds, software evaluation, campaigns, promotions, conferences, and events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the sales team with technical support during pre-sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events
  • Developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Creating and presenting strategic technical demonstrations to customers with a solution and value focus
  • Providing clients with telephone, email, and face-to-face support
  • Providing training to current and new software users
  • Liaising with the product development team and software users during the software design cycle
  • Serving as the subject matter expert for open-pit mine scheduling for Micromine in Brazil

About You

You will have a background in operational mining roles and/or experience working for a mining technology company.

Key skills, experience, and qualifications include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
  • Experience with Open Pit mining
  • Experience with mine planning and scheduling
  • Experience with using general-purpose mining software
  • The ability to travel nationally or internationally to manage Micromine Alastri implementations
  • English (conversational/professional fluency) and Portuguese (native fluency) speaking skills
