Job Summary
We are looking for a Product Specialist with a strong background in operational mining roles and/or experience working for a mining technology company. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality pre-sales and support activity, including technical product demonstrations, tenders, proof of concept model builds, software evaluation, campaigns, promotions, conferences, and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the sales team by providing technical support during pre-sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events as requested.
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Create and present strategic technical demonstrations to customers with a solution and value focus.
- Provide our clients with telephone, email, and face-to-face support.
- Provide training to current and new software users.
- Liaise with the product development team and software users during the software design cycle.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for open-pit mine scheduling for Micromine in Brazil.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
- Experience with Open Pit mining.
- Experience with mine planning and scheduling.
- Experience with using general-purpose mining software.
- The ability to travel, nationally or internationally, to manage Micromine Alastri implementations.
- English (conversational/professional fluency) and Portuguese (native fluency) speaking skills.
About You
You will have a strong understanding of the mining industry and be able to communicate complex technical information to customers. You will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
