**JOB BACKGROUND / BUSINESS CONTEXT**
As part of the BCMA LATAM organization, the role will support the Controls & Governance Office in all controls-related activities, as it is key to ensure a robust control environment and culture within the Banking Capital Markets & Advisory business across the Region, covering 20 countries.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **
Transformation Project**:Leading the ‘Risk & Control’ and ‘Compliance’ Transformation Programs for BCMA LATAM, working close to the BCMA Global Team and the BCMA Heads in the LATAM countries.
- **
Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA)**: Oversighting the MCA process with focus on the SMP improvements and EMP adoptions, aligned with the Global BCMA MCA Effectiveness initiative.
- **
Issue Management**: Reviewing and approving any new issues being raised in the BCMA LATAM organization, regardless the issue source, ensuring compliance with the Issue Management Framework, also confirming standardization across the countries. Validating the CAPs evidence before the CAPs and Issue closure attesting that the implemented corrective actions properly addressed the risk.
- **
Governance Forums**: Ensure efficient and timely reporting of the main risk & control risks and emerging risk into the various regional and global governance forums, as requested by the Escalation Policy.
- **
Internal Audit, Compliance Testing and Regulatory Reviews**: Liaising all Internal Audit, Compliance Testing and Regulatory Reviews in order to address questions and concerns from the reviewers, ensuring deliverables are being timely provided and risks are properly mitigated.
- Provide support and coverage to any other Controls and Governance related activities, as needed.
**Qualifications**
- 5 years of experience in similar jobs
- Knowledge of managing Risks & Controls
- Banking and Business background is essential
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 year of experience in the same line of business is preferable
- Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese a plus
