**YOUR OPPORTUNITY**:
The Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a program of The Humane League, is a global coalition of approximately 90 animal protection organizations across 70+ countries united in a common goal: to end the abuse of chickens worldwide. For the past several years, we have focused our efforts on eliminating battery cages by securing cage-free policies from major retailers, restaurants, and manufacturers. OWA groups share tactics and resources to secure as many wins for animals as possible, specializing in institutional campaigning that can be tailored to our members' unique circumstances and challenges.

This is a full-time, remote position. This position requires domestic and international travel, equivalent to 6-10 trips per year, and requires a valid, up-to-date passport. To enable collaboration with other global team members, you may be required to work occasional hours outside of 9am - 5pm, depending on your time zone. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide OWA member groups in Latin America with strategic guidance and direction for regional corporate campaign strategies, and collaborate with groups to troubleshoot issues.
- Co-create strategies with OWA groups and serve as a coach, building their independence over time. Support groups in adapting campaign tactics to different local and regional contexts in order to secure cage-free commitments from companies.
- Lead in-person and virtual trainings for OWA groups on corporate campaigning and corporate outreach.
- Develop and implement personalized support plans and trainings for OWA groups.
- Build strong relationships and trust with OWA groups, alongside a reputation as a sharp strategic thinker and strategist.
- Develop resources and training materials in order to build resilience, empowerment, and autonomy in the OWA.

In addition to the above essential job duties, other duties may be assigned as business needs arise. These may include non-essential, marginal job duties.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- **Experience**:Previous experience with corporate pressure campaigns and/or corporate negotiations. Experience developing campaign strategy as well as carrying out specific functions related to a campaign's success.
- **Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving**:Leads problem-solving efforts and the development of campaign strategies. Ability to identify opportunities, innovate new tactics, evaluate options and potential outcomes, and anticipate obstacles to secure animal welfare commitments from companies. Escalates issues to senior leaders when necessary, seeking additional perspectives and expertise to guide complex, often high-stakes decisions.
- **Initiative, Proactivity, and Adaptability**:Actively seeks creative solutions to address challenges. Adapts readily when faced with setbacks, viewing obstacles as opportunities for innovation. Ability to work with a great deal of independence and a strong sense of ownership over goals.
- **Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills**:Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability and desire to collaborate with audiences with a variety of different levels of knowledge and experience. Actively contributes to the achievement of team goals, coordinating collaborative efforts and working with colleagues to collectively overcome challenges. - **Time Management and Prioritization**:Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Ability to handle competing demands and prioritize effectively.
- **Global Perspective**:Approaches work with a global perspective, taking into consideration the diverse experiences of stakeholders across many different cultures, languages, and political systems. Embraces differences and collaborates with OWA groups to adapt strategies to regional and local contexts, prioritizing global impact.
- **Mission Alignment**:Deep commitment to THL's mission to end the abuse of animals raised for food. Strong familiarity with the animal protection movement, or other advocacy movements, in Latin America.
