
Carbon Business Development Specialist

**Summary**:
This position serves as the regional sales person engaging directly with farmers for all Rabo Carbon Bank activities (Trees for Farmers, Avoiding Legal Deforestation, Restoration of Degraded Land, Carbon Farming, Decarbonizing Supply Chains, etc.) in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. The individual will engage with farmers on regenerative agricultural and sustainability initiatives which focus on assisting farmers to improve soil health and implement agroforestry activities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Help implement Sales & Marketing activities in the region, and follow up with prospects.
- Support the local Product Lead on sales activities whilst prospects progress through the sales funnel.
- Translate client needs and opportunities with respect to CO2 ambitions into products and services offered by Rabobank.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of Rabo clients, farming practices, and sustainability topics in agriculture (regenerative farming, etc.) and innovative propositions such as Carbon bank.
- Educate RMs, Branch managers and Regional Managers on our RCB activities and programs.
- Provide smarter targeting, and local communication strategy, and consider the use of digital tools.
- Keep track of local market research.
**Requirements**:
- Agricultural background is a must.
- Financial background is preferred.
- Preferably located in the region of the projects; e.g., Mato Grosso, Goiás, Minas Gerais and other states located in Cerrado region.
- Innovation Experience,
- Brazilian Portuguese and English speaker is a must. Spanish is preferred.
