Are you interested in joining our team by becoming our new Senior Account Technician, based in our São Paulo office?
In this role you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administration and processing service to underwriting, accounts, claims, credit control and brokers/clients. You will be also responsible for accounts of medium to high complexity (i.e. complex reinsurance panels or captives structures), review and interpret source underwriting materials regarding completeness of required information - including broker presentation, slips, underwriting files and accounts / claims experience - and if required, escalation to UW in case of missing information. In case of IIPs, steering of implementation globally, including providing intructions to all involved SOEs, reconcialition of all issues and addressing questions regarding cover and wording with UW.
In this role you will:
- Use all relevant information to accurately and efficiently populate IT system(s) with new and renewed business. Invoice customers and produce all relevant documentation, e.g. policies, certificates, endorsements to broker (or client), co-insurers, captives and re-insurers. Compiling of manuscript wordings and non-standard policy wordings. Regular reconciliation and discussion of content with UW and broker/customer. Preview of revised broker wordings compared to expiring. Provide suggestions to UWs.
- Chase and reconcile premiums globally with all relevant partners, i.e. local SOEs, brokers, customer in close collaboration with Credit Conrol to ensure timely premium payment. Coordinate premium chasing and reconciliation activities.
- Proactively manage and self-prioritize own daily, weekly and monthly workflow to ensure key performance indicators and service standards are met. Ongoing monitoring, maintenance and follow-up of all accounts in the respective responsibility and escalation, if required. Contribute to work load allocation within the team.
- Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers, including Underwriting, Accounts / Credit Control, Reinsurance Accounts, Clients and Brokers and attend relevant internal and external meetings.Regular and extensive exchange with clients regardinng all account specific matters. Liase with other countries to drive process improvement and harmonization of operational tasks on global basis.
To be successful in this role you are expected to have:
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate or specialty insurance.
- Advanced understanding of policy administration life cycle, including information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation.
- Good understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English. Fluency in Spanish will be a plus. Experience in an international environment / matrix structure.
