**Role(s) Required**:LAMP System Administrator

**Location**:Remote, EU/Novi Sad Serbia

**Employment Type: Permanent, fulltime or long term contract**

**Required Start Date**: ASAP

**Total Hours Approved Per Role**: 40h/week

**Rate/Salary**:$4,000 USD /month

**Summary**:
Reporting directly to the CTO. The Systems Administrator is responsible for performing the day-to-day operating system administrative activities for servers running Linux.
delivery and the Web development environments. This will require familiarity in software deployment and integration in a Unix environment, working predominately with Open Source tools and programs. The incumbent reports to the Systems Manager through whom general direction and priorities are set.

**Responsibilities**:

- UNIX/Linux Server installation, hardening, monitoring and performance tuning.
- Shared Primary SA for all data-center related facilities issues (power, generator, cooling)
deployments, and regular maintenance
- Planning and patch management
- Technical documentation
- Support of desktop OSX machines
- Work with and be available to support Development and QA users
- Diagnose server-hardware issues and complete all hardware-related maintenance (eg: swap a drive, rack-mount a server)
- Support and maintain network switches, routers and firewalls
- Be part of on-call rotation (1-week duration every 8 weeks, weekends and 4 hrs overnight).
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills Requirements**:

- Minimum combination of education and experience totaling 6 years, with a
preference for 3 or more years of Unix/Linux MySQL PHP and Apache work
experience.
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- Strong understanding of Application Layer Protocols such as HTTP, DNS, SMTP
- Experience with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent system level trouble shooting skills
