Position Overview: Brazil Regional Pricing Manager

The Brazil Regional Pricing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the pricing strategy and processes across the Brazil region. This role includes leading a team of pricing specialists, ensuring accurate pricing models, supporting sales teams, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize profitability. The manager will ensure that pricing strategies align with business goals, market trends, and customer needs, while maintaining consistency and compliance across all pricing activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor the Regional Pricing Specialist team, ensuring their professional growth and adherence to pricing processes.
  • Provide guidance and support for pricing-related escalations and issues within the team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the regional pricing strategy across both new and existing accounts for the Brazil region.
  • Manage, review, and approve pricing models, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals and market conditions.
  • Work closely with product, Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to analyze pricing trends, competitive landscapes, and customer requirements to determine optimal pricing strategies.
  • Oversee the execution of pricing decisions and ensure accurate, timely, and consistent implementation across all channels.
  • Provide leadership and support to the pricing specialists in developing and maintaining pricing proposals, quotes, and negotiations for customers.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to monitor and improve pricing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with global pricing teams to align regional strategies with global initiatives and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines and approval processes across the region.
  • Analyze pricing performance metrics, including margins, profitability, and pricing effectiveness, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Escalate and resolve any pricing-related issues, including customer concerns or discrepancies, to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain profitability.
  • Develop and deliver training on pricing policies, tools, and strategies to the pricing team and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage the pricing team's workload to ensure timely response to requests and efficient execution of pricing tasks.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on pricing performance, including pricing adjustments, win/loss analysis, and competitive pricing comparisons.

  • Show measurable evidence of growth and conversion across the region, including:

  • Increase in quote throughput

  • Improved quote win ratios
  • Increase in quote conversion rates
  • Reduction in pending quote status changes
  • Overall volume growth (TEU, Kgs, GP)

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

  • In-depth understanding of pricing models, financial metrics, and profitability analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of proficiency with pricing software and tools, including Excel and ERP systems.
  • Ability to think strategically while also being detail-oriented in the execution of pricing decisions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing management, financial analysis, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience using pricing or ERP systems, such as CargoWise, is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, cost structures, and competitive pricing analysis.
