The Work You'll Do:
The PS Sales Support Consultant plays a pivotal role in supporting both the sales and professional services organizations by developing accurate and competitive service estimates. This position is responsible for shaping delivery strategies for client engagements, contributing to pre-sales efforts through pricing, resource modeling, and proposal development. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure all service offerings align with broader business objectives and drive successful customer outcomes.
More specifically, you will:
Partner with Sales, Solution Engineers, and Professional Services to create accurate service estimates and delivery models for client proposals
Analyze customer requirements, scope project deliverables, and recommend appropriate delivery strategies.
Develop and maintain standardized estimation tools, rate cards, pricing models, and proposal templates.
Lead the effort in scoping services for complex or strategic opportunities, including RFP/RFI responses.
Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure margin and capacity targets are met.
Provide strategic deal support including trade-off analysis, resource planning, and risk identification.
Track historical estimates vs. actuals to improve future accuracy and refine best practices.
Support continuous improvement of estimation, proposal, and sales enablement processes.
Maintain alignment with delivery capabilities, solution packaging, and go-to-market strategy
What We Need From You
What Does Sovos Offer You?
- 3-5 years of experience in professional services estimation, pre-sales consulting, sales operations, or similar strategic sales support roles.
- Strong understanding of services delivery models, project scoping, and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex data.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working with CRM, PSA (Professional Services Automation), or CPQ systems (Salesforce)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or PMP is a plus.
