This role will be responsible for leading crisis preparedness and response efforts, ensuring effective coordination, timely decision-making, and clear communication to protect our platform, users, and brand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain crisis response playbooks and escalation protocols.
- Act as Incident Manager for high-severity events, coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Provide real-time situational updates, risk assessments, and decision-making support to leadership.
- Manage communication with internal teams, executives, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with PR/Comms to prepare external messaging during crises.
- Lead post-incident reviews, produce reports, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitor emerging threats, global events, and regulatory trends, advising leadership on risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain relationships with law enforcement, regulators, and industry coalitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Crisis Management, Emergency Management, Law, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in crisis response, incident management, or risk operations in technology, government, or corporate environments.
- Strong knowledge of incident management frameworks (e.g., NIMS/ICS, ISO 22320, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to manage high-pressure situations.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Trust & Safety, Law Enforcement Liaison, or Security Operations.
- Knowledge of global regulatory environments and risk trends.
- Multi-lingual skills (Mandarin is a plus).
