**About the role**:
Our key sub-teams include Driver, Forecasting, Global Intelligence, Maps, Marketplace Controls, Matching, NeMo (New Mobility), Pricing/Loyalty, Rider, and Uber for Business.
You will require a mix of business and technical competencies and also cross-functional skills to connect with various internal and external partners
**What You'll Do**:
- Perform analysis to understand Risk/Fraud behaviors, and contribute to fraud detection features and models
- Build and maintain fraud rules in response to evolving fraud behaviors
- Extract insights from the large volumes of data and come up with new strategies to mitigate/stop fraudulent activities
- Build a deep understanding of the Risk data and reporting
- Participate in the project definition and idea generation, work on collaborative projects with partners across the globe with a focus on the Risk/Fraud mitigation
- Effectively communicate and present findings to the management team to strengthen business decisions
- With mentorship from our managers, define and develop areas of expertise
- Attend regular training courses, functional business review meetings, and all-hands
- Stay highly engaged and always get ahead as Uber Risk is a very fast-paced environment
- Perform risk assessments to proactively identify external and internal risks that can have a significant impact on the business and propose solutions
**What You'll Need**:
- Professional English and Portuguese Proficiency
- 3+ years of proven track record in a data-focused role such as product analytics, business analytics, business operations, or data science
- Translate ambiguous questions, generate and investigate hypotheses through a deep demeanor of the data and synthesize findings into clear recommendations to leadership and regional teams.
- Ability to work in a self-guided manner
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- SQL and other analytical tools will be considered a plus
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or other quantitative fields
