TheUnited Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)in Brazil is recruiting aFinance and Budget Assistantto support the Climate Change Division.
This is a vital role that ensures financial integrity across climate-related projects and partnerships.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review budgets, financial reports, and disbursement requestsGuide executing agencies on financial compliance and reporting standardsTrack expenditures, monitor fund utilization, and support project auditsMaintain financial records, process payments, and reconcile project accountsSupport project evaluation, closure, and data accuracy across ERP systemsQualificationsBachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldCertified ACCA, CPA, or equivalent (any level) – requiredMinimum 3 years of professional experience in finance or accountingFluency in Portuguese and EnglishUN system or international development experience is an advantageOpen tonationals or legal residents of Brazilonly.Apply via the UNV platform or connect for more info.Current Volunteer Living Allowance per month: BRL UN Volunteers serve full-time in their professional expertise, supported by a benefits package, including a monthly living allowance to ensure a secure standard of living at their duty stations.
