About the RoleThe Renewals Specialist ensures smooth, timely contract renewals that drive customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
Partnering with Customer Success and Account Management, this role manages the full renewal lifecycle—from identifying opportunities to negotiation and close—while aligning outcomes with customer needs and Abnormal's goals.
In addition to renewals, this role identifies upsell opportunities such as licensing true-ups, positioning value-based solutions that expand account value.This position is a strong fit for candidates with foundational renewal experience who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and want to grow their commercial skills.Who you areMotivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to changing prioritiesEffective in high-volume environments with competing demandsDetail-oriented, organized, and strong at process and time managementClear communicator with strong interpersonal skillsCurious and eager to learn in a collaborative settingWhat you will doManage the end-to-end renewal process for assigned accounts or territoriesPartner with Customer Success and Account Management to maintain high customer satisfactionTrack renewal milestones, follow up on key dates, and ensure timely executionSupport contract negotiations, aligning terms with customer and business needsIdentify and pursue upsell opportunities (e.g., licensing true-ups) to grow account valueFlag and escalate renewal risks as neededContribute to accurate forecasting and reportingUse data and insights to support value-driven customer conversationsCollaborate with channel teams to ensure a smooth partner experienceMust Haves1–2 years of experience in Renewals, Customer Success, Sales Support, or related SaaS roleUnderstanding of customer relationship management and SaaS sales processesBasic negotiation, upsell, and objection-handling skills with a growth mindsetStrong communication, organization, and follow-up skillsProficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce); Gainsight experience a plusAwareness of customer lifecycle stages and early renewal risk indicatorsFamiliarity with Abnormal's products and services, with the ability to support forecasting and reportingBase salary range: $74,800 — $88,000 USDAbnormal AI is an equal opportunity employer.
