**Summary**:
As a Sales Development Leader, you will develop OIA Global presence through expansion of partnerships with subcontractors and agents.
The Business Development Leader will prospect, obtain, and maintain business for OIA Global Brazil, with a special focus on developing corporate accounts.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Maintain and develop a network of partners in Brazil Northeast and Southeast Region
- Oversee and supervise operations of specific customers in Northeast and Southeast Region, with special focus on corporate internal accounts
- Conduct all operations in accordance with the company's Standard Operations Procedures
- Ensure smooth running of operations through the effective management of customers and suppliers
- Handle customer escalations as necessary
- Ensure compliance in regulations by remaining up to date by freight forwarding and customs regulations
- On site supervision of our Projects during loading / unloading when necessary
- Negotiate pricing with customers, suppliers, and agents for regional business
- Quote business to customers, agents and internal office
- Act as a contact between the company and customers
- Respond to potential business and look for opportunities to develop the business
- Gather market and customer information
- Visit potential clients to prospect for new business
- Contact customers and potential customers by phone
- Negotiate terms of agreements and close sales
- Negotiate variations in price, delivery, and specification with close support from internal managers
- Secure business and bookings for OIA
- Follow up on new customers and trial shipments
- Follow up on quotations in a timely manner
- Advise existing and potential customers of new services
- Maintain awareness of OIA's customer base
- Monitor customer activities and developments to determine focus of development efforts
- Monthly updates on business development
- Produce statistical reports as required
- Compare month on month development of customers against budgeted sales and GP
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
- Update CRM (customer relationship management) as directed by management
- Work in line with finance requirements including the month end procedures
- Take responsibility for preparing and achieving budgets for portfolio accounts
- Work in partnership with the finance department as necessary, specifically on payments and issues of portfolio suppliers/ customers
- Ensure financials & accruals are accurate
- Leading and co-operating with colleagues to create a positive working environment
- Manage specific initiatives as necessary
- Any other duties as reasonably requested
**Required Skills and Abilities**:
- A high level of energy and motivation
- Strong sales aptitude and ability to connect with people
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
**Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree or 3 years work experience in business development
- Familiarity with CargoWise's Enterprise system a plus
**Physical Requirements**:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
