Description

As a Maintenance Technician , you will provide maintenance and training for PAC equipment. This position requires an understanding of industrial safe work practices, electrical safe work practices, and the basic principles of repairs on industrial machinery. You must be able to assist with installations and repairs for new and existing equipment using basic shop tools, electrical components, and fabricated items to install, diagnose, repair, and optimize PAC machinery. The Maintenance Level I Tech will understand VFD and servo motors, pneumatics/hydraulics, mechanical/electrical blueprints, and possess a willingness to work independently to solve problems or make repairs to industrial equipment. Safety is a top concern. The Maintenance Technician will identify safety concerns related to OSHA regulations and maintain all equipment to OEM, OSHA, or PAC safety standards. The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Level I Technician position will have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience.

Schedule

1st Shift, 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday

Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Safety
  • Work safely and identify potential safety concerns in PAC facilities, coaching others on safe work practices.
  • Take initiative to address unsafe conditions or resolve them personally.
  • Meet all maintenance-related OSHA safety regulations, including inspections and safety standards.
  • Follow up on safety-related maintenance tasks based on Safety Committee recommendations, inspections, or employee suggestions.
  • Maintain all equipment according to OEM, OSHA, or PAC safety standards.
Training
  • Train less experienced employees in their essential duties.
Equipment Maintenance
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform repairs, including light building repair.
  • Perform Basic Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures following prescribed schedules.
  • Install basic electrical components such as switches and limits.
  • Fabricate basic items for machine repair and improvement.
  • Use basic shop tools for repairs and fabrication.
  • Follow OEM manuals for setup and repair procedures.
  • Diagnose and repair basic machine problems impacting quality and productivity.
Organization
  • Follow inventory control processes.
  • Work with supervision to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or related schooling.
  • Knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and basic electronics.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment with noise and temperature variations.
Certifications
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift certifications required for higher levels.
