AIG manages claims using a wealth of technical and market knowledge about risks, business practices, and the ever-evolving legal and regulatory environment.About the role**What you need to know**:Handle Equipment Breakdown claims from initial notification through to final settlement daily within an agreed level of authority and within service standardsreview notices of claim and documents provided by clientsreview and input reservesoversee work of vendors, including lawyers, accountants, experts and loss adjusters; communicate with clients, service providers and brokers to obtain information in relation to claims, to explain claims requirements and decisions, and resolve appeals and complaints.work closely with underwriters and distribution to develop a thorough understanding of the business and contribute to “best practice” overall**What we’re looking for**:Bachelor’s degreeStrong written & verbal communicationAdvanced English Skills is a plusAbility to work with claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategyStrong knowledge in technical claims topics (mainly equipment breakdown claims);Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.Ability in negotiation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution;Experience in effectively following up on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous claim handling improvement.We are an Equal Opportunity EmployerAmerican International Group, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates are committed to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and its policies and procedures reflect this commitment.
