Your RoleThe Head of Controlling is responsible for overseeing the governance of financial systems to ensure quality and accuracy in gross profit (GP) reporting by file, product, and client. The role involves controlling the expenses of functional units (FUs). This position will drive strategic business decisions and ensure financial integrity across all business units, aligning financial goals with the company’s overall strategic objectives.
Your Responsibilities- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead the development and implementation of robust financial processes, including target setting, game plan, rolling forecasts, and business investment applications (BIA).
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the controlling team, fostering professional growth and development.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Control FU expenses, ensuring they are correctly accounted for and within budget.
- Monitor GP by branch and center to ensure they meet the Rolling Forecast.
- Ensure an acceptable level of deferred costs without significantly increasing loss files.
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
- Solid experience in Controlling.
- Experience with Leadership.
- Desirable experience in freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint).
- Advanced English and Spanish.
