Looking for an exciting opportunity to build and lead a sales team in São Paulo, Brazil, and become a part of the DNA testing industry?

GenePlanet, EU based biotech company, a global leader in preventive genetic tests; specializing in NIPT, cancer screening, and lifestyle DNA tests, is looking for an ambitious Sales / Business Development Manager to develop and lead our local operations in the market. With a presence in 35+ markets worldwide and a team of over 150 employees, GenePlanet collaborates with over 2,000 medical centers, doctors, and insurance companies to provide tests that empower individuals to take control of their health and assist doctors with therapeutic procedures.

We are seeking a hands-on, self-driven, energetic, and results-oriented professional to join our team on a project-based cooperation that can lead to a regular position of Sales / Business Development Manager, responsible for developing and leading our local NIPT operations.

Tasks

  • Your journey with GenePlanet begins with a market entry project where your hands-on skills will be tested. You will receive a blueprint of GenePlanet NIPT market entry with key KPIs, including:
  • Brief market landscape overview
  • Setup of the sales infrastructure and SOP adjustments to local market requirements (import permits, sample collection points, payment types/options, localization of marketing materials with HQ, etc.)
  • Prepare and execute country-wide recruitment strategy
  • Identify factors to increase product and brand awareness for the NIPT business

As a potential Sales Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of GenePlanet's local business for medical genetic testing. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the HQ team to set up and develop GenePlanet's local business and implement a longer-term growth strategy
  • Building and maintaining relationships with local partners, including clinics, medical laboratories, and gynecologists
  • Continuously monitoring the competitive landscape and proactively seeking new business opportunities in the market

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • A medical background with working experience in gynecology and obstetrics is a must; knowledge of laboratory sales is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of the local healthcare industry, particularly in the private sector
  • Experience in building sales teams, recruitment, and team management
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently with key market stakeholders
  • Excellent selling, networking, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Knowledge of the local NIPT market and competitive products to inform long-term growth strategy
  • A personal network of local gynecologists or laboratories to build relationships with key stakeholders

Advantageous qualifications

  • Higher education degree in biotechnology, biology, medicine, biochemistry, or microbiology
  • Experience in launching new businesses and products
