We are looking for a Project Leader to join our AVL United States Projects team and contribute to the development of efficient, sustainable, and innovative solutions.

AVL South America is the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation, and testing of propulsion systems (hybrids, combustion engines, transmission, electric drive, batteries, fuel cell, and control technology) for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large engines, and their integration into the vehicle.

We are looking for a Project Leader to join our AVL United States Projects team and contribute to the development of efficient, sustainable, and innovative solutions.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Control of projects with high commercial, social, and technical complexity.
- Coordination of Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and customer site activities.
- Managing project initiation and planning - Ensuring that projects are implemented in accordance with all related processes to achieve targets (cost, time, deliveries) and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring that project quality milestones (handovers between departments, project reviews, etc.) are fully met.
- Problem solving.
- Managing changes in scope.
- Customer relationship management during project execution.
- Authority over overall budget control - managing and controlling contingencies.
- Interfacing with the financial sector and supporting the project's accounting requirements.
- Identifying new business opportunities in existing projects.
- Responsible for applying appropriate tools and methods (quotation, PRISM, risk management, backlog, documentation, internal project reports, etc.).
- Proactive in escalating issues as necessary to keep cost, schedule, and deliverables on track while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Conduct lessons learned with the project team and management.
Assisting in the generation of project proposals.

YOUR PROFILE:

This position is to work directly with the team in the United States, in a 100% remote work model, with trips to Michigan (USA) 2 to 3 times a year.

- Advanced or fluent English (communication will be 100% in English with team members and clients).
- Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Project Leader/Manager, preferably in powertrain integration, the automotive industry, laboratories, or related areas - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with different clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage projects with high technical complexity.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project.

Differentials

- PMP certification or post-graduate degree in Project Management
- Experience with installation and commissioning
- Knowledge of SAP
