The General Manager – Latin America & Canada is responsible for leadership, planning, development, and oversight of all commercial activities to meet region revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals. The role leads a team of Regional Sales Managers to achieve revenue targets in a complex selling environment and collaborates across functions in Latin America & Canada to optimize performance.

In this role, you will report to the Vice President / GM Commercial Operations, Americas and be part of the Americas Commercial Leadership team.

Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed growth plans for Latin America and Canada for new and existing business accounts.
  • Oversee the performance of the commercial organization in Latin America and Canada, including coaching, developing, and providing ongoing feedback and professional development guidance.
  • Create and execute actionable strategies for commercial teams based on sales data analytics and market insights.
  • Understand and utilize key market dynamics to develop and close sales in hospitals, labs, and health systems.
  • Drive physician demand and adoption of new diagnostic methods.
  • Negotiate contracts from single hospitals to health systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience; Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience.
  • 6+ years of people management experience.
  • Expertise selling premium products.
  • Strong track record of success in both capital equipment and reagent sales.
  • Skilled using a CRM application such as Salesforce.com.
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
  • Experience working in Brazil and across Latin America.
Travel, Motor Vehicle & Environment
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
