Job Overview We are seeking a seasoned technical professional to fill the role of Development Support Engineer with advanced Java and SQL expertise. Deliver high-quality support services for mission-critical trading and investment applications, resolving complex issues in production environments. Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and implement lasting fixes. Continuously monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. Design, develop, and maintain support tools and scripts using Java and SQL technologies. Participate in incident management processes, post-incident reviews, and ongoing improvement initiatives. Engage with multidisciplinary teams (DevOps, QA, business areas) to ensure seamless collaboration. Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards throughout all support activities. Document procedures, incidents, and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in application support or software development. Advanced proficiency in Java, including Spring, multithreading, and REST API design. Expert-level SQL skills, focusing on query optimization, stored procedure development, and data analysis. Familiarity with financial systems, preferably trading or investment platforms. Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting languages. Understanding of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and ITIL best practices. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills. Professional Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: Extensive experience in application support or software development. Advanced technical skills, specifically in Java and SQL. A strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies. The ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
