The Role of Database Administrator is a critical position within our organization. It involves ensuring the performance, integrity, security, and availability of databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installing and maintaining database servers for optimal performance.
  • Implementing HA scenarios, replication, and other high-availability configurations.
  • Knowledge of database security standards, backup procedures, and performance monitoring techniques.
  • Developing processes to optimize database security and maintain data integrity.
  • Setting and enforcing database standards to ensure consistency.
  • Managing user access to databases and ensuring data confidentiality.
  • Performance tuning of database systems to improve efficiency.
  • Installing, upgrading, and managing database applications to meet business needs.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting database errors to minimize downtime.
  • Triage reported issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Identifying chronic issues and preparing plans to eliminate or reduce them.
  • Recommending and implementing emerging database technologies to stay ahead.
  • Creating and managing database reports, visualizations, and dashboards to inform business decisions.
  • Automating repetitive database tasks to increase productivity.
  • Collaborating with the Global N4 Migration Team on N4 upgrades.
  • Documenting implementation and deployment plans to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Providing on-call support as needed to ensure continuous operation.

Additionally, this role may involve:

  • Valuable experience in Oracle database administration.
  • Delivering 24x7x365 support to end-users and system consumers through collaboration with TOS app.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of database administration principles and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
