
Senior Business Development Manager

This is a dynamic and strategic business development position that requires driving growth across a broad portfolio.
The role involves identifying new business development opportunities, deepening relevancy with target agents/wholesalers, and expanding distribution through specialty focused agents to achieve target specialty returns.
Collaboration with regional vice presidents is essential to own and develop the distribution strategies for assigned regions.
Segmenting existing agents and field territories, allocating resources accordingly, with specific focus on target agent/wholesale partners is also a key responsibility.
Establishing agent and local office development plans, monitoring results, and taking appropriate action as needed to advance specialty growth are critical tasks.
Key Requirements- Bachelor's degree or higher with industry designations (CIC, CRM, RPLU, CPCU) preferred.
- 5-10 years commercial lines business development/sales management experience required, professional lines or property & casualty experience preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals/objectives and development of territorial business plans and supporting initiatives.
- Ability to travel frequently (~50% overall; mix of day/overnight travel will vary by week).
