About the Role

We seek a seasoned agricultural development leader to spearhead our initiatives in Suriname, focusing on agribusiness and sustainable development projects like cassava farming and agro-processing operations. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission while ensuring operational excellence and community impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project planning and implementation of agriculture projects, including cassava farming operations, agro-processing, and byproduct production.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation systems aligned with organizational goals and impact metrics.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities and authorities.
  • Maintain effective communication with international investors and partners.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team to achieve project goals.
Risk Management:
  • Identify and implement project risk mitigation strategies.
  • Implement sustainable practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on environmental and social impact.
Operational Excellence:
  • Develop and maintain project management systems.
  • Standardize processes across multiple projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure quality control standards are met.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the agriculture sector.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural operations and agro-processing technologies.
