Job Title: Cloud Platform Development Leader

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead to oversee the development of cloud-based platforms. As a leader in this field, you will be responsible for communicating technical concepts clearly, facilitating discussions, collaborating with stakeholders, providing project updates, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance cloud and container technologies using Python as the primary programming language;
  • Develop and deliver high-quality solutions and code;
  • Implement unit tests to improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC);
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported during testing and customer integration;
  • Participate actively in all aspects of an agile software development process;
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team focused on containerization, virtualization, and fault-tolerant/carrier-grade development;
  • Contribute to a highly available orchestration platform used to deploy private cloud platforms aimed at supporting 5G and distributed Edge deployments worldwide.

Essential Skills:

  • Solid backend development skills (preferably but not limited to Python), with knowledge of Linux Essentials;
  • Moderate understanding of hardware, processes, programs, and the components of the Linux Operating System;
  • Familiarity with working on the command line and with files;
  • Ability to create and restore compressed backups and archives;
  • Knowledge of system security, including users/groups and file permissions for public and private directories;
  • Experience with creating and running simple scripts;
  • Understanding of the Linux File System;
  • Interest in working on development and troubleshooting of a highly distributed orchestration platform supporting multiple vendors;
  • Experience collaborating effectively across remote teams and time zones, and collaborating with Senior Technical Leaders;
  • Experience with GIT, Jira, Gitlab, and code review tools;
  • Experience with Cloud Storage;
  • Strong computer networking knowledge on the application (HTTP/HTTPS/SIP/etc.) and transport (TCP/UDP/etc.) layers.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Linux Containers, etc.);
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS);
  • Experience with Kubernetes Cluster Administration (designing infrastructure that involves one or more Kubernetes clusters, configuring, controlling, and monitoring Kubernetes clusters);
  • Experience with Kubernetes App Development (designing and developing applications that run in Kubernetes clusters);
  • Experience with PostgreSQL as a developer;
  • Experience with RabbitMQ as a developer;
  • Experience with Docker;
  • Experience with Helm.
