About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Sales for South America to lead our sales strategy and operations in the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to retain and grow our current install base in South America
  • Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, including account management and specialist sales teams
  • Establish strong and long-lasting customer relationships, acting as the face of Elekta in the region
  • Collaborate with commercial excellence leader and Head of Staff/Finance to drive GTM strategy
  • Partner with regional Management team & BL's to drive territory and segment strategy for region on order, sales and profitable performance
  • Drive sales operations processes and mechanisms which support sales growth and profitability
  • Actively support GTM effectiveness across Direct, Indirect sales
  • Utilize KPIs to set control and maintain best class selling processes across Latam's South Region and Caribe
  • Lead tender and offer activities, including proposal, contract creation, T&C, Quote support and order bookings and cancellations
  • Own sales operations, including backlog health, order changes
  • Be the integrator (voice and escalation point for critical needs, optimizing cross functional tools, process improvements, and deployments to ensure sales process is working optimally)
  • Drive culture of collaboration, leveraging best practices
  • Simplification and process improvement - working with internal and external stakeholders and customers, particularly ensuring GTM tools
  • Be a role model for business culture
  • Drive sales force effectiveness
  • Business analytics, Lifecycle and commercial development expertise
  • Provide leadership across team to develop strong business analytics to improve better funnel quality, assist with Win/Loss takeaways and action, foster IB Completion intelligence, drive hit rate and identification of KPI to drive meaningful actions for sales and profitability
  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility, win rate across BLs and zones
  • Develop and maintain critical relationship with key contacts and C Suite (deal structuring, order management) to improve sales team efficiency
  • Coach team to utilize CRM and CPQ requirements
  • Ensure data accuracy and quality promoted
  • Maintain, implement, and expand business relationships with industry strategic partners ie GEHC/Philips, etc.
  • Team Management and Collaboration
  • Ensure the correct skills and resources are in place and retained within the teams with continual development a focus
  • Demonstrate effective leadership behaviors and ensure that all direct reports have clear guidance on expectations on their behaviors in their roles
  • Ensure that regular performance and coaching meeting take place with all direct reports and where necessary ensure that any corrective actions are commenced
  • Manage the selection, termination, development, measurement, motivation and compensation of direct reporting employees
  • Ensure that employee productivity and morale are at high levels
  • Ensure through effective management of direct reports, all employees have a meaningful annual performance planning and evaluation meeting where development activities are discussed, documented and acted upon within a timely manner in line with Elekta Group policies
  • Collaborate and promote a collaborative and results-driven culture with colleagues both inside and outside of the Sales organisation
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with Elekta's Code of Conduct
  • Communicate regularly with leadership, providing updates on sales performance and market trends
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the VP Latin America
What You Bring
  • Bachelors degree in business, science, engineering technology / MBA preferred
  • Six Sigma Black belt/ Master Black Belt preferred
  • Strong business acumen
  • Solid experience on operations and commercial processes
  • Experience in building and leading complex and large professional teams
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior level management
  • Experience leading managing projects of various sizes and scope
  • Executive level presentation skills
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Action and result oriented
  • Understanding financial data
