About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Sales for South America to lead and execute our sales strategy in the region. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building and managing high-performing sales teams, and establishing strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to drive order, sales, and profitability performance.
  • Lead and manage commercial operations, including sales operations, to ensure efficient and effective sales processes.
  • Collaborate with commercial excellence leaders and other stakeholders to drive go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
  • Partner with regional management teams and business leaders to drive territory and segment strategies for the region.
  • Actively support GTM effectiveness across direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to set controls and maintain best-in-class selling processes across Latin America's South Region and Caribbean.
  • Lead tender and offer activities, including proposal management, contract creation, terms and conditions, quote support, and order bookings and cancellations.
  • Own sales operations, including backlog health and order changes.
  • Be the integrator and voice for critical needs, optimizing cross-functional tools, process improvements, and deployments to ensure sales processes are working optimally.
  • Simplify and improve processes, working with internal and external stakeholders and customers, particularly ensuring GTM tools are effective.
  • Be a role model for business culture and drive sales force effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership across the team to develop strong business analytics to improve funnel quality, assist with win/loss takeaways and action, foster IB completion intelligence, drive hit rate, and identify KPIs to drive meaningful actions for sales and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility and win rate across business lines and zones.
  • Develop and maintain critical relationships with key contacts and C-suite executives (deal structuring, order management) to improve sales team efficiency.
  • Coach the team to utilize CRM and CPQ requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and quality are promoted.
  • Maintain, implement, and expand business relationships with industry strategic partners (e.g., GEHC/Philips).
Team Management and Collaboration
  • Ensure the correct skills and resources are in place and retained within the teams with continual development a focus.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership behaviors and ensure that all direct reports have clear guidance on expectations on their behaviors in their roles.
  • Ensure that regular performance and coaching meetings take place with all direct reports and where necessary ensure that any corrective actions are commenced.
  • Manage the selection, termination, development, measurement, motivation, and compensation of direct reporting employees.
  • Ensure that employee productivity and morale are at high levels.
  • Ensure through effective management of direct reports, all employees have a meaningful annual performance planning and evaluation meeting where development activities are discussed, documented, and acted upon within a timely manner in line with Elekta Group policies.
  • Collaborate and promote a collaborative and results-driven culture with colleagues both inside and outside of the Sales organization.
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with Elekta's Code of Conduct.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership, providing updates on sales performance and market trends.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the VP Latin America.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, science, engineering, or technology; MBA preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black belt/Master Black Belt preferred.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Solid experience in operations and commercial processes.
  • Experience in building and leading complex and large professional teams.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior-level management.
  • Experience leading managing projects of various sizes and scope.
  • Executive-level presentation skills.
  • Coaching and mentoring.
  • Action and result-oriented.
  • Understanding financial data.
