Our Sales Engineers play a vital role in the customer engagement lifecycle, actively contributing to pipeline development by supporting marketing initiatives, content creation, and various events. The ideal candidate will adopt a consultative sales approach and appreciate the significance of teamwork. This role is essential to the success of our Sales organization, demonstrating how we offer cost-effective solutions that provide tangible business value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehend customer objectives and challenges, clarifying how we can enhance their architecture.
- Develop, customize, and present demonstrations and presentations that highlight key business value for our prospects.
- Assume technical ownership of sales opportunities, addressing objections and managing various aspects of the sales cycle.
- Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently.
- Research, scope, and respond to customer RFIs and RFPs, sharing results proactively with team members.
- Collaborate with Partners and engage with MicroStrategy Partners to identify and define joint opportunities.
- Stay informed about our demo content and product positioning, integrating updates into our approach.
- Confidently articulate the business value of the MicroStrategy platform across all levels of the customer's organization.
- Continuously learn and develop expertise in MicroStrategy software through training and independent work, utilizing this knowledge to enhance proficiency in new releases.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of substantial experience in a similar Sales Engineer (Pre-sales) role, supporting sales cycles for Business Intelligence or other high-value business solutions.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, SAP Analytics Cloud, Quick Sight, Business Objects, Cognos, Looker). Specific experience with MicroStrategy is highly advantageous.
- General understanding of AI and prompt engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing, ETL, web services, and SaaS technologies.
- Experience in SaaS and Cloud-based selling with major Hyperscale providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills focused on requirement gathering, positioning, and identifying business value.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills in English.
