Position Overview

The primary objective of the QA Test Lead position is to oversee and execute testing services for clients, utilizing industry standards and best practices to fulfill TTC's customer needs. The QA Lead will collaborate closely to establish and refine the overall QA methodology. This role also involves mentoring QA team members on techniques, strategies, frameworks, and other technical components. Additionally, the QA Test Lead may provide general application support for production systems, managing relationships with business stakeholders, software vendors, auditors, and internal IT teams.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background coupled with exceptional leadership abilities, demonstrating diplomacy, motivation, and influence. To excel in this role, the candidate must be proactive, strategic, and capable of hands-on involvement as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients on the design and execution of comprehensive testing activities that meet testing objectives and ensure sustainable product quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Provide guidance on all QA aspects, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing innovative tools and processes to achieve quality targets.
  • Develop, plan, execute, and maintain test cases, scripts, plans, and protocols for products in development.
  • Engage in the deployment of enhancements, upgrades, and significant implementations.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing to validate the complete business flow.
  • Identify opportunities for improving testing processes; seek continuous enhancements that deliver value to external customers.
  • Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring the team adheres to best practices.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all QA-related aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating internal and external QA resources; maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and manage their expectations.
  • Collaborate with project management to achieve testing milestones and deliver high-quality solutions punctually.
  • Lead, collaborate, and mentor QA team members; share domain knowledge with the team to continuously enhance overall group capabilities.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Familiarity with SAP modules: FIORI, MM, PM, SD, FICO, PP/QM, BW, EWM, BPC, APO, or others (highly preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external team members.
  • Leadership capabilities; ability to guide and mentor a team of QA professionals.
  • Independence; ability to work with minimal supervision and meet project deadlines within specified constraints.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including business planning, data analysis, process analysis and design, business and functional requirements analysis, use case analysis, applications/system design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to identify and recommend solutions that meet requirements.
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail to evaluate information from multiple sources, assess risks, reconcile conflicts, transform high-level information into detailed insights, prioritize user requests based on true business needs, and design solutions that fulfill existing business requirements.
  • Time management and organizational skills; executing and completing assigned projects within the agreed time, scope, and budget.
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of large-scale SAP deployment, implementation, support, and/or upgrade projects (highly preferred).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • 7+ years of experience in Software Development and Quality Assurance, including User Acceptance Testing, Functional Testing, Performance and Scalability Testing, Manual and Automated Testing; UAT experience is required.
  • 3-6 years of SAP Functional Testing experience (highly preferred).
  • ISTQB Certification.
