About the Role

At our organization, we're seeking a seasoned Technical Product Manager to spearhead the development of web and mobile platforms. This individual will collaborate with engineering leaders to create foundational technology and governance for consumer websites and mobile apps.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of current technologies and practices for creation, deployment, and operation of websites and mobile apps. They should also possess experience working within agile product teams to build customer-facing software.

We're looking for someone who can effectively translate software user and stakeholder needs into relevant outcomes and development scope. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Determine how to assess platforms' ability to meet users' and stakeholders' needs and establish ongoing assessment.

  2. In partnership with platform engineering leaders, define desired outcomes and strategy, then initiatives and processes to achieve those outcomes.

  3. Create and maintain platform team roadmaps, evaluate potential work's value and priority, and report progress and status to stakeholders.

  4. Define user stories and acceptance criteria that are specific about outcomes without defining the engineering solution.

  5. Lead governance processes that help feature teams uphold platform quality and requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Significant knowledge of current technologies and practices for creation, deployment, and operation of websites and mobile apps.

  • Experience with common product management practices.

  • Experience working within agile product teams to build customer-facing software.

  • Proven success translating software user and stakeholder needs into relevant outcomes and development scope.

  • Proven success achieving outcomes through indirect influence and building consensus.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with e-commerce websites and/or mobile apps.

  • Experience with major public cloud providers.

  • Experience with content delivery networks.

  • Experience with web and app analytics tools.

  • Experience with mobile app engineering teams and mobile delivery platforms/tooling (Apple and Google app stores).

  • Experience with authentication and identity management systems and practices.
