Job Description

This is a senior-level position that requires someone with significant experience in managing complex operations for international sporting events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful events, working effectively with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless logistics and venue management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans to ensure the successful delivery of large-scale sports events.
  • Manage and coordinate various functional areas, including logistics, venue management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders, including sponsors, local authorities, and FIFA officials.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and manage high-performing teams, providing strategic guidance and decision-making support during event planning and execution phases.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, commercial partners, and media representatives.
  • Crisis Management and Problem Solving:
  • Develop and implement crisis management strategies to mitigate potential risks and issues during large-scale events.
  • Identify and address problems promptly, implementing solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Financial Management:
  • Manage substantial operational budgets and resources, optimizing event operations within budget constraints.
  • Report on financial performance and provide operational cost optimization strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in managing operations for large-scale sports events (e.g., World Cup, Olympic Games, continental championships, etc.).
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams for international sporting events, with an emphasis on logistics, venue management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong experience in leading large teams, with the ability to manage diverse and high-performing teams.
  • Previous experience in a senior management role with decision-making authority.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
