Marex Solutions, a division of Marex, specializes in creating tailored OTC derivatives and structured products. As a dynamic and rapidly expanding manufacturer, trader, and service provider of customized derivative solutions, we design and implement strategies to mitigate market risks or create investment opportunities. We leverage advanced technology to empower our clients and innovate traditional investment banking practices.

Role Overview

This position involves providing comprehensive operational support to the Structured Product business and its clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a vital member of the operations team, delivering extensive support to the OTC Derivatives and Structured Notes business of Marex Solutions, including front office and client interactions. Promptly report and escalate issues to the team leader and relevant senior management.
  • Engage in daily business-as-usual activities, including reconciling trade positions and cash flows, managing trade and notes lifecycles, dispatching trade confirmations and client statements, handling margin calls, paying agents, prime brokerage, and settlements, while ensuring accurate reporting of trades to comply with regulatory frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development of new controls and enhancements, as well as the automation of existing reconciliation tools and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, treasury, risk, audit, and compliance departments.
  • Maintain detailed operational procedures for the team and provide training for new hires to ensure business continuity and minimize personnel risk.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's regulatory obligations under various governing bodies.
  • Comply with the operational risk framework for your role, ensuring all regulatory or company-defined parameters are met.
  • Exemplify the highest standards of integrity and conduct, reflecting the Company Values.
  • Consistently adhere to the FCA's Code of Conduct and Marex's Code of Conduct.
  • Stay informed of and comply with internal policies relevant to your role or responsibilities.
  • Report any policy breaches to Compliance and/or your supervisor as necessary.
  • Immediately escalate risk events.
  • Provide input to risk management processes as required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in the MS Office suite (knowledge of macros/VBA and Python is highly desirable).
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced and evolving organization, demonstrating high commitment.
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar middle office/operations role within the financial services industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Experience in a regulated environment and understanding of associated risk and compliance requirements.
