A seasoned Procurement Leader is sought to drive strategic category management initiatives in support of high-complexity spend for global business operations.
This leadership role involves overseeing a procurement organization, developing and implementing comprehensive category strategies, conducting market research and analysis, managing key supplier relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain relationships. Additionally, they will have in-depth knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles, familiarity with information security best practices and compliance standards, and the ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for information security products and services that align with industry objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the information security landscape.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts that deliver value and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, risk management, and compliance, to define procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and service delivery standards.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor supplier performance and category performance; take corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in category management, procurement, or sourcing, with a focus on information security or IT services is required.
- Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CPM, CPSM) or information security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain relationships are essential.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles, familiarity with information security best practices and compliance standards, and the ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues are also required.
