Thomson Reuters is in search of a dedicated, innovative, and motivated Senior Cloud Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team focused on the enhancement and modernization of our ONESOURCE Global Trade application suite.

The ONESOURCE Global Trade platform serves as a robust trade automation solution, enabling multinational corporations to boost efficiency, minimize expenses, manage risks, and effortlessly comply with global import/export regulations.

Role Overview

  • Engage in the development and modernization of software applications while adhering to best practices in collaboration with a distributed team.
  • Possess an advanced understanding of software development methodologies, demonstrating the capability to design and develop intricate software systems.
  • Participate in design decisions as needed.
  • Contribute to all facets of an Agile software development lifecycle, including design, programming, testing, documentation, quality assurance, and implementation.
  • Facilitate code reviews to uphold coding standards and provide constructive feedback to fellow developers.
  • Mentor technical team members to reinforce best practices and foster their professional growth.
  • Embrace opportunities for 'innovation time' to pursue personal projects and areas of interest.

Candidate Profile

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in developing cloud-native applications.
  • Proficient in full-stack development.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Expertise in C# / .Net Core.
  • Skilled in TypeScript and Angular.
  • Experience with APIs – REST / GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of MVC frameworks.
  • Proficient in database management – SQL / NoSQL.
  • Experience with AWS, particularly Serverless and Lambda.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, ECS/EKS, and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of message queuing services like Amazon SQS / MQ.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD tools and pipeline management.
  • Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD) software development practices.
  • Strong grasp of design patterns and N-Tier architecture.
  • Experience in SaaS-based software development for large-scale applications.
  • Proven ability to design applications iteratively through continuous collaboration between business and technology.
  • Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
