Thomson Reuters is in search of a dedicated, innovative, and driven Senior Cloud Software Engineer to join our vibrant engineering team focused on the enhancement and modernization of our ONESOURCE Global Trade application suite.

The ONESOURCE Global Trade platform is a robust trade automation solution aimed at assisting multinational corporations in boosting efficiency, minimizing expenses, managing risks, and effortlessly adhering to import/export compliance regulations worldwide.

Role Overview

  • Engage in the development and modernization of software applications, employing best practices while collaborating with a distributed team.
  • Possess a deep understanding of software development methodologies and demonstrate the capability to design and develop intricate software systems.
  • Participate in design decisions as needed.
  • Involve in all facets of an Agile software development process, including design, programming, testing, documentation, quality assurance, and implementation.
  • Conduct code reviews to uphold coding standards and provide constructive feedback to fellow developers.
  • Guide technical team members to reinforce best practices and foster their professional growth.
  • Look forward to utilizing "innovation time" for personal projects and areas of interest.

Candidate Profile

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in developing cloud-native applications.
  • Proficient in full-stack development.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Expertise in C# / .Net Core.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript and Angular.
  • Experience with APIs – REST / GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of Microservices and MVC architecture.
  • Database experience with SQL / NoSQL.
  • Proficient in AWS - Serverless / Lambda.
  • Experience with Containers - Docker, ECS/EKS, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Message Queueing Services – Amazon SQS / MQ.
  • Understanding of DevOps - CI/CD practices and tools, along with pipeline knowledge.
  • Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD) software development practices.
  • Strong grasp of design patterns and N-Tier architecture.
  • Experience in SaaS-based software development for large to enterprise-level applications.
  • Ability to design applications iteratively with continuous collaboration between business and technology.
  • Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
