Role Summary

Vendor Manager, Cross Border

The Amazon International Imports team is seeking a dynamic vendor manager to play a key role in adding selection, analyzing business data, driving vendor onboarding, negotiating terms, and handling promotions.

As a vendor manager, you will work with Brazilian and global vendors to improve terms through analysis, projections, and direct negotiations with decision makers. You will also increase product category sales by driving store marketing promotions, negotiating with partners to improve selection, and reacting to industry-related economic trends.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to analyze and communicate complex terms and margin structures, and work well across teams including Retail, Finance, and Inventory Management. Organized, flexible, creative, analytical candidates who can drive negotiations to completion will be highly valued.

A day in the life of a vendor manager includes managing inputs by driving selection, securing competitive prices, and increasing convenience and speed to accelerate Amazon's flywheel.

  • Team Management Experience:
  • Account, project, or program management or buying experience
  • Business Analysis Skills:
  • Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing, promotions, or inventory management
  • Master's degree
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience driving cross-team collaboration
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management
  • Managing large data sets to drive performance and process improvements
