The Role

As a Technical SEO Strategist at Poatek, you will play a crucial role in defining how SEO and ASO are integrated into our projects, enhancing user experience and driving qualified organic traffic. You will be an essential member of cross-functional teams, conducting comprehensive site and app evaluations, establishing technical SEO guidelines, and providing strategic content recommendations. Your expertise will help shape best practices for both our clients and internal teams, analyze organic traffic patterns, recommend audience segmentation, and serve as the go-to resource for SEO and ASO inquiries.

Occasional client travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical audits of websites and monitor SEO health using various tools.
  • Create tailored technical SEO specifications, including Schema Markup suggestions and 301 redirect plans, for implementation by engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineers to design and execute automated regression tests across multiple environments to identify site and template issues.
  • Work closely with diverse teams, including Engineering, Product Architects, Analytics, Design, Content, Strategy, and Research, to deliver exceptional product experiences.
  • Develop SEO-friendly CMS solutions with customized fields in collaboration with Engineering.
  • Conduct keyword analysis for SEO and ASO initiatives to inform product strategies.
  • Analyze competitor activities to generate valuable insights that drive qualified organic traffic.
  • Create reporting dashboards with event tracking and custom metrics in partnership with Analytics Architects to support business objectives.
  • Utilize analytics tools to identify user journey gaps and enhance conversion rates, directly impacting client success.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and search engine algorithm changes to refine strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations that communicate SEO and ASO insights, technical improvements, content strategies, and training materials for both internal and client teams.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and manage A/B tests for app store listings.
  • Engage in project work across various product disciplines while also supporting the broader SEO team as necessary.
  • Manage up to two projects independently with a high degree of autonomy.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in SEO and/or ASO within a digital agency or in-house environment.
  • Strong understanding of modern web technologies, including server-side rendering and single-page applications.
  • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON-LD, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
  • Proven track record of implementing technical SEO and content strategies that have successfully driven organic growth.
  • Knowledge of Conversion Rate Optimization and its relationship with SEO.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for documentation and organization.
  • Data-driven mindset with an understanding of how web performance and usability impact SEO.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Google Data Studio, Screaming Frog, and similar platforms.
  • Capable of managing workload across multiple projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in remote settings.
  • A growth mindset with a desire to continuously learn about SEO and ASO intersections.
  • Interest in App Store Optimization (ASO) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Background in Web Development, UX, Content Marketing, or Product Strategy.
  • Experience with A/B/n and multivariate testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a product agency setting.
