Operational Excellence Specialist

The role of Operational Excellence Specialist involves driving continuous improvement and efficiency across the organization. With a strong focus on process optimization, this position plays a key part in achieving business objectives through effective resource management.

A Day in the Life:
- Develops plans to address strategic priorities of the organization, monitoring progress of improvement efforts aligned with divisional strategies and site requirements
- Responsible for implementing a Lean Management System, collaborating with the leadership team and steering committees to mature the system
- Leads functional teams to streamline processes, improving customer experience and enabling profitable growth and efficiency
- Provides status updates to the leadership team on practical process improvement initiatives and identifies potential obstacles requiring leadership interventions
- Measures and reports on key performance indicators at an organizational level, developing corrective action plans in conjunction with functional managers
- Acts as a liaison with finance to update monthly financial statements reflecting benefits of practical process improvement initiatives
- Deploys resources for diagnostics and implementation activities
- Standardizes practical process improvement best practices within the organization
- Collaborates with colleagues and stakeholders to develop and execute a practical process improvement plan supporting organizational and business unit strategies
- Develops annual and long-term practical process improvement roadmaps to drive continuous improvement
- Stays up-to-date on industry trends and technology that can drive practical process improvement, sharing best practices for step-function changes
- Ensures long-term sustainability of practical process improvement initiatives
- Manages, coaches, and develops change leaders within the organization

Key Qualifications:
- University degree in Science, Life Science or Engineering Field
- 10+ years of operational excellence experience in a highly-regulated industry
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt)
- Strong leadership capabilities and charismatic personality
- Fluency in English and good German skills
