Job Summary

As a senior leader in organizational development, you will play a key role in driving cultural change and promoting inclusivity within our organization. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in people and workforce development to make a lasting impact on our business.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating people and workforce development programs. They will be able to provide strategic leadership, expert advice, and direction across key areas such as organisational development, learning and development, and inclusion.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the development of employee voice and engagement groups, ensuring compliance with equality duty, and supporting policy development work led by the HR Business partner. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing consultancy and expert support to Heads of Service and teams, increasing capability, resilience, and adaptability to change.

We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can lead and deliver OD initiatives that drive sustainable culture and behaviour change. The ideal candidate will have extensive people management and leadership experience, with a strong track record of producing high-level reports for Senior Management Teams and Boards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement people and workforce development programs to drive cultural change and promote inclusivity.
  • Provide strategic leadership and expert advice on organisational development, learning and development, and inclusion.
  • Oversee the development of employee voice and engagement groups.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector equality duty.
  • Support policy development work led by the HR Business partner.
  • Provide consultancy and expert support to Heads of Service and teams.
  • Lead and deliver OD initiatives that drive sustainable culture and behaviour change.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess significant knowledge and experience in:

  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating people and workforce development programs.
  • Organisational development and leading and embedding inclusivity.
  • Drafting a range of material including presentations, learning materials, and communications for diverse audiences.
  • Producing high-level reports for Senior Management Teams and Boards.
  • Project management and delivering complex projects.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills, strategic thinking, and autonomy.

The ideal candidate will also hold relevant professional qualifications in Learning and Development/Organisational Development/Leadership and Management, with ongoing CPD.
