Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

The success of our organization depends on an efficient and modern accounts payable program, which is why we are seeking a skilled Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Accounts Payable department.

This role is part of the accounting and shared financial services team, responsible for facilitating the proper utilization and disbursement of payables in a strategic and customer-friendly manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
  • Perform account reconciliations to include bank accounts, clearing accounts, travel and entertainment accounts, intercompany accounts, and other Accounts Payable related balance sheet accounts.
  • Release and approve invoices, batches, and payments.
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
  • Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
  • Employee reimbursements and Company credit card reconciliation using expense reporting systems and tools.
  • Open mail and scan invoices to Accounts Payable processors.
  • Ensure all escalated inquiries and issues are responded to and resolved promptly.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or equivalent proven field experience.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible Accounts Payable experience.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
