About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Research Analyst to provide primary research and ongoing analysis for LATAM markets and support our US & Canadian research team.

Your Responsibilities
  • Convert your previous chemical industry experience, knowledge, and expertise into sustainable, profitable market advisory services.
  • Provide regular neutral and objective price input and written analysis for Market Advisory Service reports.
  • Pursue and develop unique analytical approaches that provide value to our clients.
  • Develop and maintain a fundamental working understanding of our basic model templates of supply/demand, econometric price forecasts, and trade grids.
  • Develop market presentations and contribute market expertise to proprietary projects.
  • Interface with global Market Advisory Services team members to ensure analysis consistency.
  • Nourish personal relationships with key industry contacts in geographic regions that manufacture, consume, distribute or have financial interest in chemicals assigned for analysis.
  • Respond to internal and external client questions and serve as a resource for client brainstorming/discussions.
Your Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7 years of chemical industry experience, including commercial experience with chlor-alkali, electrolytic chemicals, alumina/aluminum, or pulp & paper industries.
  • A university degree in chemical engineering, engineering, or chemistry (preferred) -OR- equivalent work experience.
  • Fluent in English - oral and written.
  • Strong modeling and advanced Excel spreadsheet management skills.
  • A willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • An MBA or other graduate degree (preferred).
