Senior Underwriter Role

As a senior underwriter, you will be responsible for analyzing financial statements and using your technical expertise to find insurance solutions for complex risks. You will work closely with brokers to communicate our value proposition and negotiate pricing, terms & conditions, and deal structure.

This role offers the opportunity to drive profitable growth in Casualty by expanding your broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market. You will also set a high standard of customer service to brokers and clients, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to less-experienced underwriters.

We are looking for an individual with strong communication, networking, and relationship building skills, as well as good organizational and time management skills. You should have an interest in mentoring and training if you have not held these duties previously. Recognized experience on Casualty UW area is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial statements to identify risk exposure
  • Use technical expertise to find insurance solutions for complex risks
  • Work closely with brokers to communicate our value proposition
  • Negotiate pricing, terms & conditions, and deal structure
  • Expand broker network and attend broker events
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to less-experienced underwriters
