Our organization seeks an experienced professional to fill the role of Indirect Spend Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the procurement and commodity management of indirect spend categories.

This position involves participating in cross-functional teams and supporting the Indirect Spend Manager with sourcing implementation plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a sourcing strategy for all indirect categories on scope.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to gather and assess requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Track and report commodity performance metrics.
  • Create internal and external category profiles.
  • Develop supplier evaluation criteria.
  • Review supplier responses to Requests for Proposals.
  • Prepare bid packages and administer the RFP/RFQ/RFI process.
  • Assess supplier capabilities and recommend a list of potential suppliers.
  • Build a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) supplier ranking matrix.
  • Resolve issues between suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare fact-based briefs for supplier meetings.
  • Implement sourcing contracts.
  • Identify and communicate supplier diversity opportunities.
  • Oversight of transactional order placement.
  • Recognize and communicate potential supplier development opportunities.
  • Develop alternative sourcings on categories.
  • Ensure continuous supply of goods and services to plants in scope.
  • Management of technical purchases indirectly including maintenance, facility management, spare parts, fork lift, etc.
  • Analyze historical spend data and budget to define category strategy.
  • Operational management of all spend, including purchase orders, follow-up, contract, and invoice follow-up.
  • Partnership with internal customers to understand business needs.
  • Understanding market forces, research, and evaluate vendors.
  • Purchasing process flows application in line with category strategy.
  • Definition of particular terms and conditions.
  • Negotiation of proposals and finalization of contracts.
  • Contract management.
  • Support of supplier relationship management.
  • Driving continuous improvements (cost and service) of assigned sourcing categories.
  • Monitoring results in spend reduction and savings.
  • Implementation of KPIs to keep the process and team performance on track with company targets.
