Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Legislative and Budgetary Policy Specialist to contribute to the development of effective policies that strengthen family farmers in Brazil.

This role will involve working closely with national government agencies, local organizations, and family farmers to implement programs that improve rural extension services, credit availability, land access, governance, market access, and cooperativism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policy solutions to address poverty reduction and rural revitalization challenges.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver capacity-building programs for national government, local, and family farmers.
  • Analyze data to inform policy decisions and program evaluations.
  • Promote best practices in rural development and advocate for policy changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (economics, public policy, agriculture, etc.).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in policy analysis, program implementation, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with Brazilian agricultural policies and regulations.
