Senior Fragrance Applications Specialist

This role involves preparing fragrance applications in different bases, providing technical support to creative and development teams, sales teams, and external customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities in the application lab, preparing samples for internal and external customers, and defining priorities.
The ideal candidate should have a degree or higher education qualification in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a similar subject. At least 5-7 years of lab experience in a related area is required. Knowledge of good laboratory practice, safe handling of chemicals, and perfumery is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities of application lab
- Prepare fragrance applications in different bases
- Provide technical support to creation and development teams, sales teams, and external customers
- Act as point of contact in the lab for specific customers/projects across categories
- Administration of sample requests and ordering of fragrance oils
- Perform physical-chemical measurements
- Write and help in updating and revising of technical documentation in the department
- Formulation preparation of internal bases
- Perform colour matching and recommend dyes as per client request
- Operate and help maintain standard lab equipment
- Record and communicate results accurately and promptly
- Management of customer base inventories and project submission retained application samples
- Assist in the administration of materials and laboratory organization
- Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment
Additional Responsibilities:
- Mentor and assist other junior technicians, trainees, and others
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or Higher Education qualification in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or similar subject
- At least 5-7 years lab experience in related area
- Knowledge of good laboratory practice and safe handling of chemicals
- Olfactory ability
- Chemistry knowledge
- Perfumery knowledge
- Understanding of ISO protocols
- Demonstrated proficiency in Givaudan-specific software applications
