Job Summary

This is a key leadership role that will lead the development and execution of strategic land use initiatives with various stakeholders to drive progress in key environmental and social impact areas.

The successful candidate will have expertise in identifying customer needs and developing solutions, as well as experience in leading multi-stakeholder initiatives.

About the Role

The Land Use Manager will be responsible for building partnerships with customers, competitors, and suppliers across value chains, engaging external organizations to advance sustainability frameworks, and educating and influencing internal and external stakeholders to execute on the organization's purpose.

This includes designing and implementing strategic initiatives focused on ending deforestation in supply chains, partnering with NGOs, foundations, universities, financial institutions, competitors, and governments to build deforestation-free supply chains, and developing shared roadmaps to achieve land use goals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the advancement and evolution of the organization's land use strategy.
  • Develop and execute internal and external progress reporting on land use goals.
  • Communicate land use strategy, policies, and objectives to suppliers, partners, and customers.
  • Represent the organization in external senior-level stakeholder forums and media.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, technical knowledge in environmental, economic, and social benefits of sustainable development, solid related work experience, and experience on land use projects and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
